I have extensive all round business, general management, marketing (across all facets), and communications skills, gained primarily from working at: Ogilvy and Mather (UK), the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games, the set up, growth and sale of my own business; Octopus Communications Group (marketing and advertising).

Business coaching experience

I have been an ActionCOACH since 2005. I work and mentor SME business owners to change the way they understand and carry out the business processes. In order for them to achieve their goals, I utilise all facets of business including: change management, sales, marketing, financial budget and forecasting, team management and systemisation.

The Importance Of Setting Goals

In order to maximise the opportunity for success of a small business, it must have strong and well planned foundations. The most fundamental step in building the foundations is setting both personal and business goals.

The time and energy invested in goal setting will pay off many times over. The value to individuals and organisations in the way they work and in their performance can be dramatic and measurable.

Increased organisational support, team spirit and cohesion are unrecognised benefits that will further increase productivity and profitability.

To be successful, small business owners need to understand what goal setting really means. It’s about undertaking a process to establish what you want to achieve from the business and then developing and implementing a plan that enables you to accomplish it. Lastly, you must be held accountable in order to achieve those goals.
